System Manager - Keymaps
Keymaps determine what command a keytone represents. For example, 6 could be Priority or F.Fwd, depending on what keymap a user is assigned. Custom keymaps can also be created.
Different keymaps are needed as telephony stations come in a variety of chipsets (or emulations), all of which produce different keytones when used.
Author Keymap Commands
Some commands have two possible keytones to activate them, such as the RECORD command. In these instances, the second box has the tone that a foot control or hand micropone would produce if using that particular chipset (or emulation).
Stop Stops whatever you are doing, such as recording or playing. |
Skip to End Skips to the end of the dictation. |
Rev/Play Rewinds the equivilant of the Rew F.Fwd Increment and then goes into Play. |
F.Fwd Fast forwards the equivilant of the Rwd & F.Fwd Increment. |
Play Begins playing your dictation from your current location plus the Auto Backspace. |
Annotate Will prompt the system to speak all of the dictation's demographic data, based on the fields and their sequence for that user in the Annotate settings. |
Rewind Rewinds the equivilant of the Rwd & F.Fwd Increment. |
Save This saves a dictation for completion at a later time. |
Record Goes into Record. |
Hangup Will disconnect the user from the system. |
Next Job Completes current dictation and starts a new one. |
Volume + Increases the playback and prompt volume. |
Priority Assigns the current dictation the Priority status. |
Volume - Decreases the playback and prompt volume. |
Next Job Same WT Completes current dictation and starts a new one using the same worktype. |
Volume 0 Resets the playback and prompt volume back to 0, the default. |
Review This switches the Author from Dictate mode to Review mode, allowing the user to listen to previous dictations. |
Speed + Increases the playback speed. |
Skip Over If reviewing a dictation, this will skip to the next one. |
Speed - Decreases the playback speed. |
Skip to Beg Skips to the beginning of the dictation. |
Speed 0 Resets the playback speed back to 0, the default |
Typist Keymap Commands
Stop Stops playback. |

Making Changes
To save any changes you have made, you must click the Update button. To duplicate a keymap, click Copy, go to the keymap you want to modify, and then click Paste.
The Default button will restore the factory defaults to the keymap. Note that any changes you have made will be lost.
